Book tickets online: arriving at noon they only sold entry for 14:45. Whale shark and shark section are the highlight; great with kids.
Super Nintendo World
Get the Power-Up Band (~€30, works only in the park) — without it kids can't play most of the interactive games or collect keys.
Universal Studios Japan
Buy tickets online in advance plus an express pass for 4 rides (not cheap); arrive ~10am for short entry lines. Note 140cm height limit for rides.
Dotonbori
Worth an evening stroll on the famous street; street performers near Sennichimae-dori and plenty of random restaurants to duck into.
Universal Wonderland
Sesame Street and Hello Kitty areas with a carousel and character meet-and-greets — a good place to start with little kids.
Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
Her favourite attraction in the park — the Minions ride was the most fun of all.
Sing on Tour
All the Sing characters sing and dance live on stage — filming inside is not allowed.
APA Hotel & Resort Osaka Namba Ekimae Tower
Rooms are tiny (no room to open a suitcase) but location is perfect near Dotonbori; pool on floor 40 costs ¥2,000-3,000, timed slots, pay in the lobby 15 min ahead.

Villain-Con area where kids can hug the Minion characters.
Tempozan Marketplace
Big mall right next to the aquarium with shops and food — good place to kill time until your entry slot.
Kinopio's Cafe
Reserve a time slot in the Universal app the moment you enter the park; arrive exactly at your time — you'll still queue.
Okonomiyaki Sakaba O
Tiny spot with ~10 seats — come before the dinner peak, there's always a line. Yakisoba with a fried egg was tasty; ¥2,000–3,000.
Kyocera Dome Osaka
Visible in the skyline view from the hotel's high-floor pool.

100+ min wait without an express pass, only 20 min with one. Crazy 3D tech but she found it 'nice and nothing more'.

Entry is by timed slot — they had 18:30 and lost it when a rainstorm shut the park's rides down.

Fun photo stop under the hanging great white shark at the Jaws area.

In the same complex as the aquarium — exactly like the Tokyo Legoland Discovery Center.
